During the epic 300 mile motorway run down to Detling at the weekend , I came to the conclusion that I need to do something about exhaust noise on my
Fury
The exhaust's exit the sills just ahead of the rear wheel's - so there's one right next to my ear (relatively speaking) . I had a good
look at possible routing for rear exit pipe's - and it's do-able , but not easy with rigid pipe .
Question is - if I use flexi pipe , am I likely to have any problem's come MOT time ?
As long as the pipe is secured and not leaking and the system is not too noisy you shouldn't have any problems
i've seen it for sale in accessory shops so shouldn't see its a problem for MOT
Hi
I had to use a short section of flexi pipe to join my manifolds to my exhaust before I got some proper bits made - went through SVA like that so I
cannot see an issue for MOT!
Mark
EDIT - in fact you can just about see it on my avatar, a piece about 12-18 inches long (one on either side of the car
)

Best avoided if possible, its not the best stuff and makes a bad job of it, much better to get artistic with some bends and welder.
A simple straight run for a bit of flex is very different to trying to wrap it around a chassis and axle.
Regards Mark
Fit the flexi stuff and then blob some welds along it to make it rigid. Then take it to an exhaust maker and get them to copy it.
flexi exhaust tube is not good as a permanant soloution in time it will start to leak. m.

As others have said, it isn't great. Mine fell to pieces in about 500 miles.

I wasn't suggesting that you bought the bends but got a company with a bender (titter) to craft you some. I've never met you but girls have
an inbuilt ability to flutter their eyelids and make things happen. I suggest this route for you. If your're an ugly pig, which I'm sure
you're not, get your hand in your pocket........
I used bike silencers. Very cheap and quiet.
