My inlet manifold gasket tore again today on the way home from the shakespeare raceway! 
im using paper gaskets that i got from a local motor factors, its really pi**ing me off now, I'VE GONE THROUGH THREE IN A MATTER OF WEEKS.
What can i do? the gasket always rips in the same place, above the inlet to cylinder 3, could i be tightening the manifold bolts too tight and this
causes the gasket to rip/tear prematurely.
are there thicker gaskets available or high performance gaskets?
where can i het them from

Is the manifold flat?
Would silicon do it?
that is a pain, what about making your own from gasket paper? maybe a litle bit thicker than i ones from the factors?

yep manifold is flat and ive already put silicone on it twice
i was thinking about making a gasket out of cork? would this work?

Think I would try viscuene before cork myself, but would also try rubbing the manifold on some wet & dry on a piece of glass after lightly
spraying the ends on the manifold with some dark high temp paint preferably to show any low spots.
