Me and a neighbour are looking at buying one of
These
Trouble is we want it to be portable so it can be moved between garages. Can anyone recommend a small compressor to suit.
for the 10cfm it uses, you won't find a small compressor imo
you want the biggest compressor you can manage for that blasting uses a lot of air and if the compressor isn't man enough you'll have to keep waiting for it to charge up. I would go for a 14 CFM myself

minimum 10cfm at 8bar
i had a 2hp compressor on a large cabinet and it just wasn't enough, IMHO you need as big a compressor as possible, a small compressor will run out within 30-60 seconds of spraying!
I had a 3hp on that cab ^^^ and it still wasnt enougth.
My 3hp compressor runs out very very quickly when blasting
But two compressors would be OK for moving about and you can get two 2hp ones for the price of a good 3hp.....

Or connect the compressor to a pressurisation vessel of sorts. Ive used an empty helium cylinder before now, but its not the correct way to do
things!
Two compressors in parallel would double the capacity and also the CFM in theory.
I use a small 28L compressor and its crap for blasting. Too small. Two might do it though, but itll be bloody noisy!
bear in mind the amp's and cabling if you're using two compressors in parallel. I plan on doing it and will run one from the garage electrics and one from the house electrics. Gets round the risk of blowing things if they both decide to start at the same time.
