what the hell is with the new budget - were getting priced out of life!! fuel to go up by about 5p a litre, booze going up, big earners to get
penalised even more!
theres one thing good for that C*** - a bullet
i do appreciate its not just him, its all the politicians
[Edited on 22/4/09 by A1]
fuel prices suck, we had that huge dive and they are slowly going back up again.
the new budget is going to throw them back over £1 a litre again.
i thought it was 2p, either way still a disgrace.
lets all do this, tell him what we think of him lol
http://findyourmp.parliament.uk/commons/email/l/814.html
true enough it won't go direct to him, but with enough emails, he should get the idea he's a c***
its all in a name, replace his name with whoever was sat in that seat, the same would apply.

i heard it may go up to 18% next year...
they wouldnt be getting cursed if they were doing a good job.
well shall we start the count down now general election in 14 months!!!!! hears hoping they go, but with the debt that ll be taken over! were screwed for years to come!
tell you what makes me laugh though one minute they saying bin cars because of the enviroment next its buy buy buy cars because of the car industry! make your f@£king mind up! but at least the rules on the scrap cars for 2000 pounds won t effect us to much i don t think!
It also fecking went up by 2p the beginning of the fookin' month too!!! Grrrrrr
Don't slouch, Darling...
How did you think he was going to repay the £340bn he will owe by this time next year?
Nice eye catching things like taxing people at 50% if they earn more than £150k per annum is intended to show that he is hitting fat cats and making
them pay more - hooray what a good socialist outlook he has. But... think about how many people earn that amount, and then consider how much will the
additional 10% on the part >£150 amount to? Bobbins.
The only way he can repay debt is to do one of two things:
(a) raise taxes from a larger audience (you, me and probably everybody else on this forum) - that is fags, booze, fuel etc. He won't put up basic
or mid range tax rates as that is to unpopular - people will see that in their wage slips and pay packets. Stealth taxes (even those that aren't
that stealthy) will always go up as some of their impact goes under the radar.
(b) cut public spending in areas that don't stimulate the economy like schools, social services and hospitals - whilst trying to ensure some
spending in areas that create additional jobs and wealth distribution (building social housing, urban regeneration programs etc)
This recession could be seen from 3-4 years ago. Reports of people borrowing 9 times their salaries on mortgages or taking out life loans were all
signals of increasing consumer debt. Add in our governments entire policy to run its finances and that we live in the pockets of the US banking system
and something had to give. The level of the failure in terms of the multiple runs on financial institutes may have been a shock - but the fact that a
fall was coming was kind of obvious.
The damage was done when Brown was Chancellor.
Rant over.
What a toss** that man Gordon is!!
He took my country away from me and now he is making what's left bankrupt!!
BUT, of course, our city farther's will be OK on their public purse pensions.
The £2000 car thing has been in Europe for years and led to cars costing more.
The best thing here is that diesel is subsidised by the government, along with heating oil.
I spent 530 euros on a 1000 litres of heating oil and the goverment gave me back 200.
AND I am not a tax payer over here!
I don't understand this £2000 for your old car lark.
Most people i know who may buy a new car wouldnt now because they don't want to commit to £200 - 300 per month finance over 5 years as they
don't know if they will have a job in 6 months.
The people who drive 10 year old cars ushually do so because they cannot afford a newer car or its a second cheap run about to go to work and back.
So why would they go to the main dealer and do the above?
Correct me if i am missing something

The scrappage scheme will be so tied up with petty, devious rules that there'll be very little uptake, I'm quite sure. That's the way
this government works.
BTW: No point in lambasting Darling - I very much doubt that these are his ideas - I'm quite sure that the previous chancellor wrote this
budget... i.e. the Prime Mentalist.

At least this thread doesn't have the classic ignorant comment of "Brown! I didn't vote for him" unless of course you live in Kirkcaldy

Its the banking industry thats bu88ered up the country, the government are helping right enough. It doesn't matter if the tolies get in they'll bugger it up as well and brown will still get the blame.

swirly ice cream, I don't know if you know, was invented by Margaret Thatcher when she studied chemistry at Oxford. Just one of the wonderful things she did before she was betrayed.
