Stand by Me
This is a link to one of the best pieces of sound engineering work I think I have ever heard.
It's a composite audio/video of song whereby additional tracks were laid in by different singers and musicians from different places around the
world. The finished product is tremendous!
The song itself is that classic standard "Stand By Me" originally released
In 1955 by The Staple Singers and released again in 1961 by the Drifters.

got to admit i like it a lot! but could you argue that its as good as the original.........
As good as the original - I would go out on a limb and say yes!
Go abroad and you see so many of these people and think "bloody hell they have talent" with no backing vocals, rehersals etc etc.
When a winner of a "talent" show is guaranteed a number one spot and recording deal with questionable talent it does make
think............
Respect to them all!
