the roll bar on that is absolutely useless.. should the car ever roll over the hoop will just fold over

Speaking as one who is considering selling his (2 seater) Indy which doesn't get a look in due to 3 young kids I can understand the concept. The
reality however just doesn't bear thinking about.
I'd be more in favour of owning a classic car with 4/5 seats myself than a stretched 7
I think you guys should stop with the bashing - there are people on here who have spents as long as we all have building a 4 seater.
Imagine if you logged onto a post where your choice of kit was being ripped to peices.

On a side note the SVA examiner was very interested/intrigued by the kit because it is a 4 seater and he hadnt seen one before and he has 2 young lads
so a few comments were made to that effect by other examiners.
And yes it did take quite a while to do but it did pass SVA first time
i wasn't bashing them but i was wondering where you would find 3 other nutters that would get in with you when you were going to go track bashing
at full tilt .......
I dont mind them. I think they look abit like a seven limo
I'm personally not sure about the looks (although I think the back is ok) but I can really appreciate the idea.
I started my Indy before I had any children. My wife and I looked forward to trips out in it etc. Now we have one boy and another one due tomorrow,
the reality may be quite different...

I can see the concept of it, my car doesnt get used as much as id like as my 3 year old cant fit.

DavyD. your comment about the roll bar is perfect, but please check Vindi andys icon and web site. You will find that the roll over bar a lot more
substantial. But did you find an old pic to bash as that car was the preproduction with a mk2 bonnet that has had a mk4 bonnet for a year or two now

As Craig says most rollbars are useless. They need at least a back stay.
Ok, some people on here build £250(ish!) Lotus 7 type things from stuff they can find/beg/steal/borrow and others build £15k to £20k MNRs and Daxs but
because they all conform then there is no issue. We have all of the BEC v CEC banter and the occasional slagging off of Cateringvans. Occasionally
there is a heated discussion about certain handling issues of certain manufacturers offerings but the comments about Vindicator's cars following
every single show never cease to amaze me.
Surely we all build a kit car as it is something that we can get reasonably close to what we actually want in a fun car. My own car wouldn't
appeal to everyone but that doesn't detract from the enjoyment I've had from building and owning it. Isn't it this diversity that makes
kits appealing or should we just banish everyone who doesn't go for an MNR/MK/Mac#1? I just feel that the mainstream 7 people here are exhibiting
a lot of the characteristics that they complain about from the Caterham, Atom etc owners.
Hell, there's even a guy with a pickup truck on here (only kidding Blake!)

I am Andrew's wife and it was my stipulation that we had a four seater car otherwise it would hardly be used. Our girls, who are now 6 and 8,
are looking forward to the car being registered and going out in her. We even had them in the garage passing Andrew tools and rivets - they were
really keen and very proud when they say my Daddy has built a car at school.
Our car has the Mark IV bonnet which is a great improvement on the original and we know the car is substantial because someone crashed the
demonstrator and all they did was smash up the bonnett and front wishbones - no damage at all in the car itself.
In terms of the roll cage, the SVA inspector seemed very impressed on how it fixed - he even commented on how solid it was.
Actually it doesn't look too bad, I might have to get one made that'll fit 3 chunky teenage kids in the back.
Then again by the time it's built they'll have probably left in their own cars
nine, if you can find 3 chunky teenagers at newark if your coming your welcome to try them for size although mine is only upholstered for 2 in the back.
Lol I can see the older two being bored out of their skulls and my youngest one will just be watching people. I told swmbo about it and she looked
interested, but said there's no way she's putting our baby in one of them (darn )
