Hypothetically speaking, if i had a classic car (pre 1980ish) that i wanted to sell, are there any companies that would provide a warranty for such an old car?

Not sure I know where you’re coming from with this but I think some car checking services like the RAC or AA offer guarantees if something turns out bad that they've check off already as being ok

What kind of warranty are you meaning?

RAC Vehicle Inspection - not exactly cheap either

Basically im after the same sort of thing when you buy a normal used car. 6 month parts warranty, something like this.

ah well that’s more like an insurance policy on your cars components if you can't fix it yourself.

Seems fine really but your the first person I've ever known to want to sell an old car with one.

Usually its buyer beware with classic cars i.e. don't buy one if you don't know how to fix it...

ive had dealings with these warranty companies,the cert isnt worth the paper its written on,they will always find an out.
the car is old and therefore more likely to have a problem,people that buy these sort of cars should accept the fact,just sell it and wave them goodbye

i had dealings with a couple of these companies,they all got out of paying except 1 that was threatened with legal action.
1 was for a wheel bearing,specifically mentioned as covered,when 1 failed i was told it was "wear and tear" so not covered...what else does a wheel bearing do?
