Tis indeed a warning light for tyre pressures. There should be a reset button down by the hadbrake.
If the warning light is yellow, the system is malfunctioning.
If its red, then pressure loss has occured.
To reset:
Start engine but do not drive.
Keep button pressed til the indicator light turns yellow
Drive off and it'll reset itself.
Obviously check all is well visually first, you may have a javelin stuck in the tyre or somat
I had a Montego Estate 20 years ago, it had a caravan warning light - but it never worked. You would drive around a corner and there would be a caravan and the light had not done its job
The warning light indicates a loss of pressure in a tyre. It uses the wheel speed signals to determin tyre pressures. First check and adjust the
pressures. If they have 15 or 16" rims then the pressure is 2.2bar or if they have the 17" rims then the pressure is 2.4bar.
To reset the light first hold the reset button in (same simbol as warning light by handbrake) and then turn the ignition on. The light will come on,
then go out and then come back on again. Then start the engine and drive off.
Be sure to reset the tyre pressures before resetting the light though or it will come on when you do.
You should reset the light as mentioned above every time the pressures are adjusted/checked.
Thanks again!
