what is this Landrover copy?
Mr Whippy - 22/5/09 at 09:44 AM

I saw a few days ago what I thought was a landrover but it looked a bit odd. Turned out to be some type off copy but I can't mind the make. It had 90 style body work but a weird bonnet and front grill. I seem to recall it had leaf springs too

Anyone come across these and knows the make?

As I am clairvoyant don't need the picture I would guess a Sanatana

We had a look at one of those a while ago..

Build quality was not quite as good as the defender and the engine was very very basic....

Not bad for the money.... I would buy one and then "correct" the front end a little

When I was doing off-road trials the Satana box was considered the best/strongest one to have.
Sounds like a satana if it is that similar.

yeah, it is not like Land Rovers have the best reputation for build quality.

And basic, yeah, means you can fix it in the filed with a paper clip and some gaffa tape instead of being stranded awaiting for electronic gubbins to be flown in from the factory.
