did The Man like that number plate? Or did the old one fall off?

I'm thinking something similar on the nose of an MNR would be much nicer than a normal plate.

iank - 31/5/09 at 12:35 PM

Looks like the wire mesh and padding has fallen off the back at some point.
Need to fix it on tighter next time.

p.s. a bird has crapped on the back of your passenger seat.

No number plate required for sva, so the man doesn't know!
IVA is different I believe as you need to provide plate mounts.
The bird crap is chalk, but that is removed now.
I put the car on a diet.......it has already lost 15kg !
It's called the F-plan!!!!!!!!

That looks sooo nice

Wow, that looks great. It looks like it belongs on a futuristic film set.

You should be very proud of your achievment.

Hows the air suspension working out?

rf900rush - 31/5/09 at 01:16 PM

Hi Martin

Just watch the right foot on the first day out.

I almost wiped out a rear wheel. first day out.
Just did not expect the level of perormace from 937cc.

Martin

Just back from Newlands.
Hope to see you there in the coming summer.

Very well except that the running height is not quite right. It is currently running 1" higher at the front than I want.
Although the suspension moves through a 5" range, there is a "sweet spot" where the suspension works very well.
Above it, it is too hard (only needed when negotiating speed bumps) and below which means the suspension is too soft and is slow to respond.
Mods are under way, I am just making up a 25mm shorter pair of pushrods for the front which will still give me the "sweet spot" handling only at the lower ride height I need.
Only a Minor fix really.
The suspension came into it's own at Mitcham test centre. It has two nasty speed bumps on the one way system leading to the test sheds.
I got over these no problem. That was with the car fully loaded, 2 people and bag of tools etc.
In the F1-2, all I got was some nasty scrapeing noise.
