just finished watching it again, i always forget how good it is

gotta love the bit near the end
"uh oh"
"what is it?"
"its the motor, its thrown a rod"
"is it bad?"
"yup"

yet they still drive for a good 5 miles at full speed

yeah do it! even buy it on dvd to watch, you won't regret buying it.

its a wierd one though, i'd say one of the best comedy films ever, but it not really a comedy, but it is.

edit: but don't watch blues brothers 2000. terrible film...

I watched Fast and the Furious last night. He races, blows the engine, steam pours from the rad, goes on to discuss how the turbo is bust and the piston seals are gone. Then he goes off to out run a load of cops, engine pulls sweet.

Hey, I've driven down the highway for several miles (that's what they were in those days, not kilometers) at full speed with a broken rod. There were 5 more where that came from after all. American engines were strong in those days.
