Just shows the power of a Forum. Never knew of this stuff as Ive used pipe lagging and painted it in the past. Some paints just wont take to lagging. Cheers.

note - pipe lagging is supposed to be pretty useless in a crash. Roll bar padding is made of sterner stuff and deforms less easily.

(although this may be a case of roll bar padding companies saying that to make sure they keep the business - ask Procomp, i'm sure he'll know)

Mine has started splitting now so it might have to all come off.

Certainly true of the open cell stuff you get in B&Q, don't know about the industrial stuff, some of it looks pretty firm (and I bet most of the motorsport stuff comes from the same machines/factories.

Doubt any, but the proper stuff, would be acceptable to a scrutineer if they spotted it.

some (foam type) lagging will split
this stuff is better
it all depends what you want to pay really

if you find a company such as the one i keep posting who make lagging they will be able to tell you the best type to use.
