Ive got a N96 on 3, poor signal strength in office.
Just been given a Blackberry 3100 on o2, same problem with poor signal.

Both phones are needed for calls with clients etc so its not good. Office is in semi rural location, old converted stone barn. Does anyone know of a signal booster that will work?

I'd be interested as well , given up on 3 but now on Voda it's still poor in my house

Trouble is, you can't licence them in the UK (se the Ofcom website).

The legit alternative is a pukka pico cell from one of the big providers - O2, Voda etc. but be prepared to spend ££££!!!

Simple, set your phone to divert to your landline before you get to the office.

Try setting the phone to 2G only while in the office depending on the coverage that can improve things for voice calls/SMS.

Can you get friends with Voda, T Mobile or Orange SIMs around for a visit and see if they have better coverage in your area?

Landline redirection isnt an option as im a lodger in the offices so dont have a dedicated landline.

We have 3 different operators in use at the office and all are poor (3, orange, o2).

Looks like only options are to try a repeater (reluctant to spend big money in case it doesnt work) or try and pursuade landlord to get a mobile mast installed (again bit of a long shot).

For the car areial idea - does this mean the phone has to be connected to it via a wire?

Try Voda before anything else, tend to be the best in rural areas...
