in the fuel tank?

It's in the tank. It was on mine anyway (620Ti), but could differ on other models I guess?

IIRC the cut off switch is behind the dash in the ash tray area - but don't quote me on that?

Pump is in tank accessible through a hatch in the rear seat/boot area

Cut off switch is in the centre consol below the radio on the passenger's side it is bolted to to a zinc plated tubular steel reinforcing strut.

If it is no-starts when warm are usually down to a dry joint type failure of the soldered connections on the main relay.



With the Rover petrol engine non starts think crank sensors they tend to get iffy --- sometimes they just need taken out and cleaned . it is the wire breaking up.
If the failure to start is hot or cold then suspect the distributor ignition module on the Honda engine.
