Well, stuck on M2. Theres been an accident up ahead (close enough to see blue flashing lights!) Been sat for about 2.5hours so far.
Seen a helicopter land about an hour ago, then take off again.
One of the stories i've heard so far, is that someones car was on fire, but instead of pulling onto the hard shoulder and getting out of the car.
The driver decided it was better to get out of the car while it was still moving!!! OH DEAR GOD, i hope not. Apparently he's stable, but they
are now dealing with the car that carried on down the road with no driver.
So i'm sat here, originally using my phone to "surf" but now i've moved onto full blown laptop with mobile as modem....
Sh*t i'm bored.

Sounds bad. Hope you get on your way soon
Unducking rucky! Traffic jams are never fun but at least you have some information about it and are relatively close to the front, there will be people at the back who are going to wait for hours to get to where you are now. Hope it clears for you soon.
well, could have been worse eh?
erm, so what did the guy do? got out while it was still moving?! how fast was it going? to be considered 'stable' he must have done himself
a fair bit of damage
Watch out for the rozzers. I got 3 Points ringing my family to tell them I was stuck in traffic after an accident. Took 15 mins for the cop to
change lanes and pull me over onto the hard shoulder.
Another victory for the justice system
Full-screen
M2 Eastbound, Kent
Traffic Alert - M2 Kent - Closed coastbound due to serious accident between J3, Chatham and J4, Gillingham. Matrix sign set to 40 mph. Diversion in
operation - Exit the M2 at J3 and join the A229 heading south. Join the M20 eastbound at J6. Exit the M20 at J7 onto the A24
Well if you're still reading this, I've just been looking and they're expecting "normal traffic conditions from 21:30", so
you should be on the move very soon - if you can believe anything that they say!
It could be worse - some years ago a tanker driver found his vehicle on fire and jumped out before he'd stopped it; it hit a bridge support and
closed the sliproad from the M60 to the M56 for two days! The M60 was closed in one direction for most of the day.

Yep, still reading this...
I'm stuck between junctions so i'm going nowhere till they open the road.
Thanks for the info Mac... maybe they'll open it at 9,30 dont think it'll be normal conditions tho lol
The guy got out while the car was still moving... i'm guesing some considerable speed to cause all this !!!
Loads of kids running around, must of been on their way home from school.
Starving now, and need a piss. Will have to look in the back of the van for a bottle lol
Any crash gates nearby ? just make sure no-ones looking first.... lucky i finished early otherwise i'd be stuck as well.
Roger
Nope, no crash gates
My dad's about 12 cars behind lol We work at the same place.
Although so far he's not bothered to walk down to the van lol
Be interesting how many people have flat batteries after running their radios for so long !
My wife was caught in this meyhem after J3, just where the four lanes turn into 3.
She got home (Rainham) at about 8:30, the police were turning the car around that were stuck between the junctions and sending them the wrong way up
the slip road.
How come you were not turned round?
Alex.
i know it doesnt help you but i tried to join the m2 at j3 about 45mins ago found the slip road closed. went home the the secnic route through the lanes.
My wife was stuck in this for a couple of hours also....if she had gone the correct way home from from chart sutton to rainham via detling hill
instead of bluebell hill she would have been home to make my dinner...lol
Alex, whereabouts in rainham are you?
jon
Hi Jon,
I'm just down the road from the (now closed) Men of Kent pub.
Whereabouts are you?
Alex.
If the police want to do you, make sure the hand brake is on. If its on the car has to be stationary therefore you're not in control of hte car -
its parked.........
they can't do you for surfing / using the phone in a parked car.
(or so i've been led to believe).
Start moving again at 9.30. One car crash into the centre barrier. that's all was there when we went past
