Top gear power board - Fxx road legal?
Dangle_kt - 22/6/09 at 08:34 PM

Did top gear bend the rules for the fxx?

Which I'm guessing is owned by MS, and maybe driven by him in the "stig" outfit.

discuss.

Shouldnt be put on the board because its not road legal.

Maybe not owned by MS, but deffinately driven by him dressed up as stig...

It is not road legal... it can not be purchased by "Joe random" on the street... it will not go over a speed bump..

Urgo... ITS NOT ALLOWED ON THE POWER BOARD!

The FXX has been around for a few years now - I remember reading about in Top Gear mag at the time.

It's a programme whereby the cars are a constant evolution - you attend the trackday, give feedback and the cars are improved for the next time.

And yep, Schuey is one of the 30 owners in the FXX programme - probably oart of his annual bonus at the time.

I don't think it'll be there on the next show. I just think they forgot to show the shot of them taking it off.

i was watching a top gear today, and thier definition of what was allowed on the board was whether or not you could buy the car, sooooo

It is Schueys own FXX, his is the only all black one

Yep, spoilt an otherwise entertaining show a bit for me.

Shame not to see how the Evora went round the track...? But maybe it was just a coincidence that the shot of the lap-time board after the FXX lap only showed the top 2 and cropped off the R500...?

Or perhaps I'm just cynical.

It obviously qualifies for the board because Clarkson makes up the rules to suit himself.
It's not a fair or scientific measure of anything you know just a 'bit of fun'.

I was actually embarassed to watch Jeremy acting like some rubbish childrens entertainer when he was talking to MS!
The rest of the show was good!

As far as I am concerned, Top Gear is loosing the plot!

It's gone FAR too far down the entertainment programme route as opposed to a car based show. In broad terms, I do like the format and I understand the rationale for how it appeals to a larger demographic, I just think its all too contrived and polished making it frankly pretty lame and boring!

I'm not sure I can be bothered to watch the rest of the series!
