Moorron - 22/6/09 at 08:59 PM

hi guy im looking to buy a new MP3 player which i need ASAP for my hols so i cant order online, so ive found the one i want in comet/currys but its £290 which is £50 more than the online shops and John Lewis. so how do i go about getting the price match from comet to save me £50?

All it says on their website is the item must be in stock and have an actual store which john lewis does but not near me. do i just print off the advert and take it into the comet?

Any tips welcome
Andy

Try and get their phone number aswell, I've been at places, where they've just phoned and asked for one, and when it was genuine, it was fine...

I took a printout of the cheaper price when I used PC World's price promise.

The nipper on the till checked the opposition's website.

mm not impressed with comet, ive just been up and asked if they will match it and the manager said he cant as its not withing 10 miles. After some argueing i walked out of the shop without one.

Ive just rang the helpline up to see why they cant and get this......The price matching is not the same as the price garrantee! In other words they dont match online with anyone even if its from the likes of john lewis who have main shops, they only drop the price if you buy it and then within 14 days it drops in the store you got it from! What a con if you ask me when they list this right next to the price matching bit on their website.
