Hi, might be a long shot........
Bought a 1990 celica gt4 St185, 200hp 4x4.
It needs a new gearbox, does anyone know if the newer model (st205) gearbox will fit?

Also will the abs ecu from the newer version fit?

i seem to remember the gearboxes being different but im not 100% sure

cant help with the abs ecu tho
might be worth checking with these people prob best to phone

the gearbox from a st205 will fit in the 185.

you just need to swap the speed sensor from your gearbox over.

the abs ecu's are not common between models, im sure they have diff plugs for starters

i can get hold of both boxes,

150 for st185
250 for st205

also

40 for st185 abs ecu

Gaz-gaz, do you have a rear diff from a ST205? if so how much?

The abs ecu does work on my car, but i was just wondering if the later ecu will allow more slip, as i find i have to be very progrssive on the brake or the abs cuts in early.
