Seriously though, if you dont think you have time to go out for a blast every couple of weeks in the summer, you reeeeeally aint going to have time to go kart racing. A lot more prep, hassle etc to start with. Its finished now, all you need to do is wheel it out and use it.
You'll be even more depressed with karting when you keep getting beat by 10 year olds! Keep the car.

If so, I know your pain
Everyone will tell you they're the best thing ever (kids that is) and they are, but it doesn't lessen the pain of having to give up a long
term hobby/passion.
If you get rid of it now, your kids and your wife will hate you in the future, BECAUSE you got rid of it. Just think how happy your kids will be (if the kids are happy and not under your wifes feet then she will be happy) in 10 years time to have the coolest dad in the world.
