on the Nissan 300ZX

Steve G - 13/7/09 at 07:49 PM

I'd rather have a Toyota Supra Or Mitzi GTO!!

Duncan Mould - 13/7/09 at 07:54 PM

Depends what you want to use it for ?

I think the zx is a little on the small side ?
Give me a 4door family saloon with vents and bulges in the right places any day.
And theres room for everyone !
Happy Days

Mitsu GTO over the 300ZX any day

There was one for sale on here not long ago...

yeah, love them

Yeah gto's are cool 300zx's are good cars though, reliable and massively tuneable - although the more you tune it the less reliable it is likely to become. Personally, I think a supra is a good choice, decent power, decent handling, decent prices and a body shape that still looks good over 15 years on!

Not my cup of tea, fat arsed looking thing , a colleague put a white one sideways into a lamp post then bought a red one and did the same thing to that hen gave up and bought a prelude type r, so on the plus side there are 2 less in the world..... just kidding, on the plus side, if you swipe a lap post you will most likely be unhurt, they seemed quite tough...

lets put it this way, i was racing one in my old evo 8 and could i catch it? not a chance on the straights, but easily under braking and on the bends! it was very very quick. i kind of got the impression it was not standard though as every time he changed gear i was met with a huge flame from his exhaust!

Personally I love em. You need to speak to someone who knows the car though, because they are getting old now. Mr Nissan wants £10k for an engine. One of my old neighbours was a top Nissan mechanic and now runs D2 in Strood, Kent. Always a gaggle of Zs in there - give him a call.

Ive owned 3 of them, and all three of mine have been 100% reliable, fun to drive, quick in a straight line, great when the sun's out with the T bar roof,my last one was over 400bhp,things to watch for, manual gearboxs are weak, watch for crunching between gears, the auto's are better, also watch for water leaks around engine, pipes become brittle with age around turbo's and back of engine, very difficult to get too and change, seals on T bar roofs leak, but apart from that great cars, better than a GTO in my opinion,as the standard 300zx feels lighter and quicker,no power sapping 4wd,and a lot less electronics to go wrong, but they are not as good as a Supra

Not to keen on the Batmobile ones (probably the one you're thinking of) but the older 80's one with the pop up headlights, now I love that look

If I'd have had the money it would still be on my drive now
