I've got a 2003 factory fit LPG Ford focus, i'm just giving it a service and want to change the gas side LPG filter, but there looks like there are 2 filters, or is one of them something else?? Seems very strange to have 2 filter 300mm apart??
General LPG practice (not Ford specific) is to have 2 filters one is a wet gas filter which is usually built into the solenoid valve fitted in the
engine compartment. just before the Reducer/Vapouriser the other is a dry gas filter between the vouriser and the injector block.
This web page might help. http://www.tinleytech.co.uk/acatalog/Filter_shut-off_valves_and_filter_elements.html

Hmm (meaning ain't got a clue) try asking here

Cool, somebody's actually got one of these on here. I did part of the engineering (mainly emissions tuning and driveability calibration)
Here goes;
IIRC there is a filter in the (16mm) dry gas hose followed by a 16-8-8-8-8 splitter further downstream. I think the filter unit was fitted with a
replaceable filter locked in place by a compression spring washer. That way, you can separate the filter without taking the hoses off.
You should be able to get the filter from the Ford dealer or from a gas conversion specialist. The brand of the filter is Necam / TeleflexGFI. Take
care you do not slit the O-ring when you put everything back together.
There is also a filter in the "wet" gas line to the vaporizer. Change that also. It is mounted in the shut off valve (brass, the lid on the
filter is around one inch in diameter with a hexagonal piece on top to unscrew it).
Good luck!
