I just won a Westfield scuttle for 99p and the seller has now emailed me to tell me "please do not pay for this item, it has already been sold."

Should I just walk away or report him to eBay?

not sure he's up to dodgy stuff, really can't see what he'd get from it, unless he's not happy with the price they go for, but on other stuff he's had cancelled bids etc. report him

Yep, definately report him. Ebay shouldnt stand for that excuse for the guy bypassing their minimum reserve price fee with an excuse like that. He wont sell still i'm sure but at least its a step towards him losing his Ebay account.

Report him now and if he relists add that to your complaint.

I just had some c** do buy it now on a car i have for sale. I got a text saying "cant have it now" so im stuck with it forl onger and gotta try and get my 20 quid fees back from ebay. These people wee me off!!

If someone wins an auction but does not buy, report them as a non-paying bidder and you should get your fees back from ebay.

One thing that does annoy me is people selling outside of ebay and not cancelling their auctions. It is easy to cancel the auction if you try and it stops people trying to win the auction for something that has been sold!

I asked him a question about the scuttle. Then got a snotty message telling me not to pay and to read the listing properly, as I would just get a photo of it for wasting his time .
