hi folks, got a daul fuel astravan 1600 8v engine. Just recently when hot, the engine has began to 'pink' under load conditions, horrible faint rattle sound.
Engine does not do the same when running on lpg?? however i have been having problems with lpg system since this noise? am i correct in thinking knock sensor should detect the knock and alter timing? engine management light is OFF
any ideas??

Does the Engine Management Light work? Comes on with ignition?

yes checked that, also checked for intake leaks etc..its single point injection too

not to try and worry you
but i know of a few combo vans with dual fuel
that have detonated after 50k miles

also have a read ***wrong linky***
and i cant find the other one now here#
