Debbie does Dallas!

Toltec - 25/7/09 at 05:00 PM

The Bourne Identity/Supremacy - not watched Ultimatum yet.

Romeo must die & Cradle 2 the Grave - Jet Li, martial arts & gangsters

Hero - Chinese martial arts epic, quite stunning visuals

Nikita - the original Luc Besson film not the remake

Do a Google for John Woo action films, e.g. Hard Boiled.

Hard Boiled is an awesome film. Luc Besson films are pretty good, 5th element and Leon are great films too.

MautoK - 25/7/09 at 05:43 PM

Ronin.
The most insane car chase!

iank - 25/7/09 at 05:47 PM

Kiss of the dragon
House of flying daggers
Hero

I think also 300, but I've not watched it myself yet.

Simon - 25/7/09 at 06:16 PM

For a martial arts film, I couldn't recommend Kung Pow - Enter the Fist high enough There are trailers on utube.

Also, the Animal with Rob Shneider?.

balidey - 25/7/09 at 06:17 PM

one of my faves at the minute is Taken with Liam Neeson

Angus180 - 25/7/09 at 06:20 PM

top film had to be ong bak its amazing, bit of rambo is good, black hawk down,

fov - 25/7/09 at 06:22 PM

Get some Tarantino like Deathproof, Pulp fiction, Jackie Brown, Res Dogs and maybe Planet Terror (just maybe).
Then throw in Vanishing point, Ronin, Lock Stock and Snatch and your sorted for a bit.

dave1888 - 25/7/09 at 06:27 PM

The Bourne series, Lock stock, The bank job, snatch, layer cake. can you see the theme here.

UncleFista - 25/7/09 at 06:29 PM

"Taken" with Liam Neeson (and Luc Besson) is probably the best action film of the last year

If you want funny too, "In Bruges" is really good.

In my opinion of course

bigpig - 25/7/09 at 06:34 PM

9th Company is good
Shaolin Soccer is good and rather ammusing
Predator 2 (the best of the lot)
Snatch
The Beast (not action but a good film none the less)

if you are off work and you'll be home all by yourself, then maybe you didn't mean 'action' films, but 'action' films.

EDIT: See what I mean...

LOL^^^^^

The Warriors! Bit dated but still a good film!

NigeEss - 25/7/09 at 10:15 PM

Point Break.
Bourne 1 and 2. Wasn't too impressed with 3, camera work too jumpy on
the action scenes.
Ronin.

Liam - 25/7/09 at 10:17 PM

The...Best...action...movie...evaaar... ...is:

One Tough Bastard.

Also known as One Man's Justice. Think it was only released on region 1 DVD, if at all.

"Ha haa - I've got the gun"

"You may have the gun, but I've got... THE GUNS!"

Rata tata tata tata tata tata

Truly awesome.

craig1410 - 26/7/09 at 12:38 AM

Shooter with Mark Wahlberg - excellent IMHO!

Crimson Tide (Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman) - Intense!

We Were Soldiers (Mel Gibson)

I Robot

Patriot Games/Clear and Present Danger/Sum of all fears

Alien/Aliens/Alien3

The Last Castle - Brilliant Robert Redford film

Devil's Own

Liam - 26/7/09 at 10:47 AM

Lots of people seem to like the Bourne films. I remember watching a bit of one of them and just finding Matt Damon in very-obviously-sped-up fight scenes hilarious, which totally ruined it. Is it actually a decent trilogy if you can get past that aspect?
