Damn you ebay

Just got phone call from a worried sister saying her ebay account had been suspended.

She had her car listed on there, no keyword spamming or anything untoward with the ad at all.

Her account was verified with paypal and they called the house to verify the phone numbers and address etc.

And they have just suspended her account and asked for more proof that the car is in her possesion and of her name and address.

And its not a phishing email either.

How bloody stupid...of all the fake ads and people ripping others offthat they let get away with it they decide to pick on someone legit

TBH I'm quite happy ebay are at least doing something to police their site. It's her first sale and 3.5k is a lot of money for someone to lose. Surely it's just a little inconvenience ?
Just playing devil's advocate

I can understand that, but...

Equally it wasnt an auction which means any buyer has to contact her to arrange a viewing etc. There was no buy it now option of handing over the cash without seeing the car.

Could it be that someone else has duplicated the listing or something like that? Might be worth getting in contact with eBay and trying to find out the reason for their actions.

Ha ha - That's the best joke I've heard all day. You don't actually believe you'll be able to do that do you??
