Straight out of garage, straight onto eBay, found the bit I need, bought it, back into garage,

How did people manage without mobile phones, the Internet and eBay ?

I remember walking best part of a mile then queuing outside phone box to make a call with people tutting outside if you put more than one coin in........ must go now, unlimited free txts to use.....

I bought some alloys off ebay a while back, and my dad told me about how he once bought a set of Mini wheels from Allan Staniforth. There was an advert in the back of the motor press, and dad had to write a letter !!! to him to buy them. Crazy

Cash points moved the dam que out in to the snow and the rain. Cant figure out why in the country of unlimited rain they always stick them in the most exposed places

In the days before HR, Benefits and Compensation departments I worked as a lowly wages clerk. There were no computers or electronic transfer of funds, on a Thursday we sat in a locked room and put real money in to pay packets. If it didn't balance to the penny we had to start again.
Those were the days

I was talking to son and wife the other day about how I prefered it when there was no trading on a Sunday. I'm not religious but it was nice to have a real 'day' off, mellow and quiet away from the rat race.
