Anyone speak Portugese or been to Estoril Circuit?
greggors84 - 28/7/09 at 05:16 PM

Im thinking about booking some tickets for the motoGP in Estoril, on the website there are some tickets that im guessing are general admission that are called PEAO with an accent above the A.

Any ideas what it means?

Also has anyone been to watch a race at Estoril, ive only ever been for work so only been round the pits and paddocks so dont know how much you can see with a general admission ticket. If its similar to donnington ill be happy, especially at 20 euros for a 3 day ticket.

If you have no luck on here, Google have a basic language translator HERE.

Just copy and paste and change the language "from" and "to" settings at the bottom.

Peao translates to Pawn and Pelousse the other word they use on the website translates to... Pelousee

I will just ask my friend and come back to you with a response

Translations are:

Peao = pedestrian, pawn, foot soldier

On that basis I'm guessing it's standing tickets, ie not seated??

Hi.

I live in Estoril.
Pećo is pedestrian, as eznfrank correctly put it.

If you come to Estoril, due to huge changes in traffic layout, etc.., the traffic around the circuit is a perfect mess!!!! If you have a motorcycle though, you can easely get through it, else get ready to suffer BIG traffic delays.
GPS will not be a solution due to / layout / lanes / ... changes - though it will make it easier to get near.

Cheers,
Joao

Peao means "on foot" so I guess its an admission ticket with no allocated seat

Thanks for the replies, seems as though I thought right. Are there many viewing areas for general admission Joao?

By the way estoril is a lovely place. We go testing there in march so usually have a couple of nights out in Cascais and end up in the casino! Lovely beaches too.

Also I always thought it was Obligado with a L. Pretty bad for the only Portuguese I know!
