Having laid a bamboo laminate floor in the house, there's hardly any gap between the front door and the floor. Certainly not enough for a mat to
wipe your feet upon!
So I was thinking of setting the mat into the floor. But it'll need some sort of metal trim around the edge of the wood I'd have thought.
I'm pretty sure I've seen houses with a metal (ali/stainless) trim. I'm thinking something akin to plastic corner edging you fit when
tiling.
But I'm buggered if I can find where to buy it!
Been to Wickes, B&Q, Screwfix etc.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
James

Nothing in the extrusions section with the steel and plastic tube in B&Q?
You'll likely not see it with it's stated purpose if you get me?
JC
Im sure they sell it at B+Q if not any carpet shop will oblige.
You can get quite a few sizes of aluminium angle from B&Q (if your wallet needs a diet!).
Screwfix
Just done the very same thing for my mother in law. Bamboo floor, set the mat in with an ali suround from Screwfix. IIRC it was £9 for 5 lengths,
B&Q and Homebase were that for 1.
Cheers

Band Q , but you neeed the bigger Depot ones
A carpet shop will have the very thing u need. My dad got me some to do the edges of the trim on my car. He works in a local carpet shop. Its not expensive.
Have you really looked James, all of these stores usually stock 90deg metal edge trim, I've certainly bought them there. If not, find your local laminate flooring shop (there at least 4 in Brighton) will have them.
