This sounds a bit weird I know.
As you know, Casey Stoner is out of action with what they have now admitted is a stress related illness.
I work with people suffering from chronic stress (among other things, most of my clients actually have ME/Chronic Fatigue) with very good results
using a system called the Lightning Process.
I just know it could have a huge impact on his condition, but there's no way in hell I'll be able to get anybody even vaguely close to Casey
to take a look at it.
So if it was you, how would you go about it? I've already been through the Ducati web site at length, and of course there are no decent contact
details for anybody to do with racing on there.
Thoughts gentlemen? It's just so frustrating knowing I could really help the poor guy out.
All media requests are to go through the Ducati MotoGP Press Officer Federica De Zottis.

You could try via this site
Email telling him to get some CBT for free through his GP. That way he'll save a fat wad of cash. Well it's a locost forum isn't it!

dont feel too frustrated, "the lightning process" wont help it any more than any other behavioural therapy and TBH id rather have a trained behavioural therapist trying to influence my stress induced illness than Phil Parker who believes most disease is related to problems with your muscloskeletal system!!
my facts are straight jasper, although i didnt really give any. Phil is trained as an osteopath, who suggest that disease is intrinsically linked to
the muscloskeletal system.
More to the point is that he specialises in cranial osteopathy which specifically states that the plates of the skull pulse to provide circulation of
the cerebral spinal fluid.
I know plenty about him, because people like Phil could easily be classed as a hobby of mine.
I'm not saying this thinking that paracetamol and fluoxetine fix everything. I think in a range of psychosomatic illness and real illnesses with
a psychological component behavioural therapy is an effective and earnest form presents a useful restorative tool.
I dont need a quack to package it under his own trademark and sell it on to me at a premium.

Yes, and I'm a training video sound man, but I sell teddy bears now. Phil uses NLP techniques combined with totally new processes thah he has
devised, I can tell you now I spent a year training with him, and oesteopathy, cranial or otherwise, was never mentioned.
So yes, you do need to get your facts straight, as you clearly don't know anything about the Lightning Process.
And this sentence doesn't even make sense:
I think in a range of psychosomatic illness and real illnesses with a psychological component behavioural therapy in an effective and earnest form
presents a useful restorative tool.
We don't differentiate between psychosomatic illness and real illnesses, and illness is an illness, your brain controls pretty much everything
that goes on in your body, and to try to seperate the two out is a waste of time.
If you know anything else that successfully deals with ME / Chronic Fatigue then I'd love to hear about it, my wife had it for 6 years and we
tried almost everything on offer at the time, nothing worked. Then she did the LP and has been 100% ever since, that was two years ago. So if you can
tell any other 'package' that fixes ME please do, as for 'quack', he's helped more people regain full health in a field that
regular medicine has has no answer for, have you done anything like that - or do you just spend your time criticising other peoples achievements?
I myself have trained people who arrived at the first session in a wheelchair or on crutches, and then came back for day two walking like a regular
person - done much of that have you????
People like you really get my goat to put it politely, there are people out there genuinely making a massive difference to the quality of other
peoples lives, and you knock them down without really knowing anything about them.
And yes, there are PLENTY of charlatans out there, just don't tar me with the same brush until you see the work that people like myself have
done.
For the record I love cranial osteopathy. Makes me laugh when people think it works
Luckily my CSF pulsations are fine because my tinfoil hat stops the aliens hitting me with their mind melt wave.
Disclaimer: I know nothing about the lightening process and it may be the badgers nadgers. Of course the question is more complicated than "do
some people benefit from it?" it's more like "is there demonstrable evidence of benefit compared to placebo". 40% of people given
false Viagra find it helps them. Does that make it an effective treatment? Kind of depends how you look at it!!!
As I say I know nothing 'bout lightening process so ain't going to comment. As long as it's not homeopathy- that's really funny
Actually just looked at it. Seems moderately sensible in terms of the underlying principles IE people understanding their bodies and listening to
their bodies. Not so sure about the neuroplasticity stuff and the biochemistry and the osteopathy bit..... Sounds a bit like "blind 'em with
science BS".
Then again, does the underlying principle have to be proved in order for it to be an effective principle? I find Freudian psychoanalysis very cult
like and dictatorial and in many ways pretty bonkers yet even if you disagree with the thought processes it can help... Bizarrely....
Ok, here's a very brief and oversimplified explanation into how the Ligtning Process works for stress:
According my local GP, 60-70% of all the patients he sees have a stress related illness.
The over production of adrenaline has been prove to be by far the largest significant factory in the changes that happen to the body when we are
stress.
Adrenaline causes: digestive problems, sleeping problems, undiagnosable muscle aches (fibro mialga), reduced cognitive function (we can't think
clear), knackered lymphatic system leading to knackered immune system etc etc etc, the list goes on. Look up 'adrenaline cycle' on the web
for masses on the subject.
So how do we produce adrenaline? We have to think of something stressful, then our brain instructs our body to produce adrenaline. We can't
produce adrenaline without a stressful thought. How to we get road rage? It doesn't happen if somebody pulls out on you and your not bothered,
but if you get bothered and angry only then is the adrenaline released.
So if we can train ourselves to stop stressful thoughts then we can stop our body producing the adrenaline.
This is very oversimplified, but hopefully it will make it a little clearer.
Adrenaline is a bit like strong espresso coffee, one or two a shots a day won't do you any harm at all, start having 10-15 a day and you'll
soon start feeling pretty crap.
So in Casey Stoner's case I would suggest that something has happened to him that has made him unable to deal with the stress he normally deals
with ok. It only happens 2-3 days before race day,and he is fine the rest of the month.
So we know then it's nothing like a virus or infection, it has to be to do with whatever he is thinking about the upcoming race. Change those
thought processes around to back the way they were, or something even better, and there goes the problem.
Pretty straightforward really

osteopathy works on my shoulder pretty well. Dont know what peoples beef is with cranial osteopathy, but I can 100% say that it helps - doesn;t cure
it, but it helps.
anyone care to explain why its snake oil, or is it specifically craneial osteopathy?
very good results using a system called the Lightning Process.
Stand him outside in a thunderstorm and tell him to hold this long copper pipe I'm sure they have the best physicians in the business looking
after Casey Stoner. What's happening to him is Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa

I am going through the Lightening Process with my chassis at the moment - don't know what the big deal is...
(I hope no-one's already told this joke above!

)
Stoner is a beaten man since Laguna last year, just like Pedrosa & Gibernau and what will be Lorenzo as well....all hail the motorcycle god that
is Valentino Rossi.
When Rossi retires Stoner will make a instant recovery
I think the cause of his apathy is in his surname. Too many doobries

could it?
