Did they... as you can tell I have absolutely no interest in cricket whatsoever!
I can imagine the appeal of playing it, but watching it???
Even more boring than the Valencia F1 circuit!

As a died in the wool South African I love to see the Ausies get beaten at sport so - WELL DONE England - Mind you, you made it hard for yourselves.
OK. So now we have some ashes. What now? I suppose they'll have to do it all again next year? Well I say, we've won them so we'll keep
them, thank you very much. We've dicided who's the best so lets not bother next year. Same for football. Once we've found out the
winners, just give them all a ball each next year so we don't have to have our tellies full of half naked men hugging each other.

The Ashes is a Test cricket series played between England and Australia. It is one of international cricket's most celebrated rivalries and dates back to 1882. It is currently played biennially, alternately in Australia and England. Since cricket is a summer game, the venues being in opposite hemispheres means the break between series alternates between 18 and 30 months. A series of "The Ashes" usually comprises five Test matches (the number of matches has varied from 1 to 7, but is now generally expected to be 5), two innings per match, under the regular rules for international Test-match cricket. If a series is drawn then the country already holding the Ashes retains them.
Its been a great day so far in my office in Adelaide. Lets just say a few emails went out first thing and not many have been replied to. Me gloat ? nah not much.
My daughter lives and works in Sydney... she's been having great fun today! Especially as NZ beat them in rugby too...
