I'm hoping someone can help identify this lathe... It's got no markings on it, so it's making it difficult to find bits for. (after a
new quill)
Thanks

Hi, surely all you need to know is the diameter and the thread size
it looks similar but older than my harrison but then they are both lathe shaped lol Ray
Diameter is 22.2mm and the thread is an Acme 1/2"x10tpi apparently (according to Mr Flak Monkey)
Where would i look?
lathes.co.uk
Having seen some better pics of the thread it isn't an acme thread, not 'square' enough
Sorry for the size!
Acme is 14 deg included angle, metric is 60 deg and imperial 55deg. Could be a std imperial thread with the tops taken off.
1/2" UNC is 13tpi so it close to the 2mm pitch and 12.2mm dia of the thread

I don't know what make it is but it's a spindle lathe. Used in the textile trade for making spindles and such things for looms. I have a similar one but mine has a 6'bed.
Looks very similar to the myford lathes on lathes.co.uk.
I emailed a picture to the people that run that website, but they are away till middle of the month
I'll search from spindle lathes too...
Cheers people.
