VW Keys - Flat Battery

My parents have a Touran, with standard VW keys. The battery has gone flat in the remote.

I've sent them this link to replacing the battery, http://www.riskin.org/vwkey/ but it doesn't say whether they need reprogramming by a main stealer?

I have an 03 Touran. I changed the keyfob battery around a year ago and did not need to visit the dealer. Just as well they are 40 kms away..

Shouldnt need to visit mate unless theyv been flat for ages.
