Magenta for sale looks like an indy
to me
deffo an Indy even states it in his add, I would think its a ringer. Oh and Ive asked him the question
Yep I agree, I have posted him a question
The magenta and registration belongs to someone on here. It was posted last night.
Definately a ringer, unless the magenta wasnt transferred and sold on...?

Ended on 99p early. Hopefully he got wind of wht was to come and took it off.
Hopefully no-ones bought it !
Isn`t that now the second ringer in about two weeks?
Darren
Who does the real one belong to then? Hopefully they have tipped the coppers off if thats the case?
David
Doh!
Thats a bad turn out for the fella, but a cracking spot by the "proper" owner!
If anyone was considering doing it, I don;t understand why they didn't chop the chassis, take reg plates off etc. to stop it being reused. Still
illegal but the seller has essentially shafted the person who bought the docs by re-selling the car.

The 'MK Magenta' has been taken off Ebay and withdrawn from Pistonheads. I wonder why?

The chassis was just there to bolt the suspension to....the strength comes from the body tub which is rather strong!
Its back up for sale again.

I AM RELISTING THIS CAR AS A TRACK CAR AFTER BEING ACCUSED OF HAVING
FAULSE DOCUMENTATION, AND MAKING IT ROAD LEGAL AS A MAGENTA.
THE MAGENTA I.D. WAS USED AS BEING THE DONOR CAR, CALLING MY M.K AN MK MAGENTA.
THE MAGENTA DONOR CAR, WAS PURCHASED ON 2nd JULY 2005, FROM THE BUILDER WHO WAS
THE PRESIDENT OF THE MAGENTA OWNERS CLUB.
THIS CAR FEATURES IN ONE OF THEIR MAGAZINES.
IT STILL EXISTS BUT WILL NEVER BE PUT
BACK ON THE ROAD , SO MY M.K. IS BEING AUCTIONED AS A TRACK CAR
THE DONORS V5 AND M.O.T CERTIFICATE ARE INCLUDED.
So that's pretty much an admission that it's got the I.D. that belongs to another car, & more than that the other car still exists!
In what way is this not a ringer?
Besides if it's an otherwise straight & honest car & plainly worth a good few quid why would'nt it just be SVA'd when it was
built or if it's just been a track car & not registered till now just IVA it & it'd be totally right? Surely it's worth enough
to warrent the test fee, & being properly registered would likley be increased in value by more than the fee anyway?
Which parts did the 'donor' give to the MK I wonder... apart from V5, VIN number and plates obviously.
I suspect he'll be getting a visit from plod fairly soon.
The magenta will never see the road again, but its MOT is included in sale
Surely this means it technically IS still on the road lol

The seller of the MK Magenta must be a bit daft. If you look in his Ebay history, he 'bought' the Magenta in July.......He actually bought the V5.
Dont understand this - so he's paid £470 for that ID, right? How much would an SVA and registration fees have cost to do it properly? It looks
like a nicely enough put together car - so surely even now getting it properly tested and registered would more than pay for itself by increasing the
value of the car??

It sold then! Hopefully no body on here!!
For only £200 more they could have had my car. How mad is that! And mine was 2000cc (but it went to a great local bloke so im happy).
I may as well update this thread.....
My Magenta was inspected by DVLA. They took copies of the Ebay pages I had printed-off including the history of all those involved which completed an
accurate trace of who bought what, when and for how much. The nice folks at DVLA said they wouldn't persue the other 'Magenta' until
the new owner applied for the V5. Then the vehicle would be inspected and if the ID of the vehicle was in doubt, then it would be confiscated and
destroyed. However, they sent me the V5 for my car....
