Went to work on the old focus and found that at least 2 of the Wheels have Magrath Locking Wheel Studs.
I have the KEY it is a wobbly hexagon (male) that fits into a similar cut on the top of the bolt.
Problem is - some MUPPET has put on the locking studs with a windy gun and now every time I try and slacken them they key walks out of the nut.
I now need to get on front off because it is bald and the two rears off to do the suspension arms so I can get the tracking done so the front doesn;t
strip more tyres.
VEHICLE IS OFF THE ROAD.... and i'm needing it back on NOW

Easy peasy - put your lonhest breaker bar on , and while some one leans on the bar , keep tapping directly on the end of the socket with a large
hammer .

hmmmm, not sounding good.
I'd suggest using an impact driver - these have 1/2 in drive attachment that you can fit sockets to and then the key.
using these, the whacking with the hammer imparts an impulse and also ensures the end piece does not jump out.
you are less likely to round off the key using an impact driver.
you'll probably need a big lump hammer to shift the nut.

Air chisel works if you tilt it so the blade is undoing the nut. Sometimes it's possible to hammer on an old socket but not if the nut has the ring around it that is free to rotate.
Ok I had this awhile back on my sons car
place the car close to a wall.
Jack it up and axle stand it.
keep all the normal nuts on and tight to keep the pressure off of the locknut as much as possible.
Use a bottle jack or block of wood or such like to jam between the end of the socket/extension/and the aforementioned wall to stop the key from "
camming out"
Simples.

This the best way I find. Done it loads of times, not failed on me yet.
Yep same with my Volvo.
The tyre service man used a sort of reverse easyout, ie a large socket thing with easyout type splines on the inside.
and a BIG Bar, and a Strong Arm.
DO NOT use Impact guns on locking wheel nuts. It will give problems in the future.
