can i have your opinions on this fire extinguisher, the main thing i want to know is, is it big enough at 600g's?

600grams seems small. I guess its only good enough if you get to the "small" fire quickly and use it effectivley. But it is about as small as they come and will be useless on anything major.
Thats the same size as the one i have in the passenger footwell. I would say for a road car then this would be acceptable back up if the worst was to happen, if you are tracking your car often you might want something bigger or even a built in system...
The 600gram extinguishers are the smallest ones you can buy,the are around a 500ml,they are better than not having one at all,but I have a 2kg one in
mine,I would go for one of at least 1kg.

Good for extinguishing a candle, but not much more.
lidl (default shop for discerning locosters)do them
No
fair enough, i'll go for the 2kg one then!
too small, I have actually used that size to put out a fire from welding that set the passenger carpet on fire and that was about as much as it could
deal with. An engine fire or burning GRP would be too much imo
If you want a carbon look one, simply buy some stick on film or use a carbon tube over a normal extinguisher but get bigger than that. Though some are
saying get something bigger if you are using the car on a track, road crashes can be just as bad sometimes.
Yesterday I bought one of these from ASDA you tube linky
for £10 to go in the kitchen, it says it’s as effective as a 2kg normal one,
and suitable for anything a powder extinguisher is for. At that price I'm tempted to buy another just try it on a small bonfire to see if it can
put it out
Best thing is it looks like it works just like a normal spray and stops when you release the button, unlike many standard powder
versions.

Nice one Mr.Whippy.
Judging by the reviews, that seems to be an excellent bit of kit.
Definately worth trying out for that price.
i have just recieved a 2kg one, it fits really well in the footwell of the indy, and its big enough to be effective
I've one of these to fit, from Rally Design £76 I believe

Depends what you want it for.
For example;
Ive got a 1.5Kg powder extinguisher in the rassenger footwell, within reach of the driving position. This is to fire off in order to get out of the
car if needed because of harnesses and difficulties getting in and out.
If you want one to put the car out, youll need something bigger, or a high volume plumbed in unit.
In my view, as long as you can get out the rest is insured.
bigger is always better!
