Hey Guy's
Following on from the iphone Vz Hero debate, I've finished my Blackberry contract on O2 early and bought a HTC Hero.
I think it's a fantastic phone (better than the iphone in a couple of areas, but not overall IMO) - but the biggest thing for me Vs the iphone is
that Apple's finest is a bit of a "clitoris Phone"

So, since I am a complete technology numpty and I know few people on here are HTC users, do you have hints/tips to help me get started?
I've followed a few of the steps in the Get Started guide, but was bored when it got to "insert sim card, then battery" so didn't
read the rest...
Cheers,
Steve

It gives good BJ's too im told
perfect shape for scooping snow off your windscreen.

buy a class six micro card and a silicone cover ...
a cool free app to download is the google sky map and Tunewiki ..tunewiki automaticly downloads the album cover when you play the song and beebplayer
for when you are in a free wifi area and want to catch up on top gear.
turn off mobile network and data roaming unless you have a deal with your network for the internet.

you're a bit of a fanny if you've got one? i'm confused lol
Which is exactly the reason why I changed my iPhone for a Google G1 - a bit like the Hero on steroids coz it has a pull-out qwerty keyboard. I must
say that the Android os is very good with loads of apps available.
I'm due to change contracts soon and I think I am going for a Hero this time (the G1 is a bit clunky by comparison)
where does one find the loads of apps for the Hero? Following my last thread on the subject, I did a bit a bit of a search but couldn't find a
lot of apps on the 'net.
I can get one Tomorrow as that's when my contract expires so it's decision time for me

Is the phone running Android? If so, do a search for "Android Market". There are tons of free and paid-for apps available.
Although on my Google G1 it already has an icon called "Market" which takes you straight in...
Google Maps & Google Sky Map are very good.
yeah the HTC Hero has an icon called the Market also ..thats where all the apps are,,,
good to see another post from mookaloid

I found hundreds on Bittorrents too
go take a look at the htcpedia and xda developers forums
