GPRS PAYG internet and phone sims?

Related question to this tread.
I have a treo 650, and want to use GPRS data on the phone, what is the cheapest PAYG way of doing this? I also want to make normal calls sms ect on
the same sim..

I've got a T-Mobile PAYG sim in my netbook which costs the usual kind of rates, but more importantly if you DONT use it for a while your top-up
doesn't expire like a lot of other companies.
I used to be with '3' but you had a minimum topup of £10 iirc which was only good for 30 days - then you needed to top up again even if you
didn't use the thing! The T-Mobile credit is only used if you actually use the data/phone time. In my case a £10 top-up lasts me months as I only
use it in my Netbook which I use for web access in the car.

Credit put on a 3 PAYG sim never expires. The 'add-ons' you purchase with that credit do expire - £10 credit will buy you 2 months of fair
use internet access @ £5 a month.
Minimum top up is £5 online and you also get 150mb free data allowance with every top up that lasts for 3 months.
This is all irrelevant for the OP though as he's after a GPRS data plan on a 2G sim/network

Humm, I thought T-mobile charged 0.73p/Kb, rather pricey, they seem to cap it at £1 per day. For me that's around £30 a month, as I will use it
every day (for e-mail).
The tescos sim I have one works out at £2 per week flat rate. They also give you 1 months £10 free credit if you top up £10 month. As I make few
calls, I think I can do it all in at around £5/month (i.e. topping up £10 every other month).. Why do they make the charging Sooo complicated 
Tescos "unlimited" ineternet appears to have a fairusage limit of 100mb (per week?? they don't say!) still enough for me I think.
Finding information on this appears to be difficult to say the least! Also it's not clear if some providers allow full internet access, tescos do
but they don't advertise it as such! How are you meant to compare different provides is a total mystery to me!

Had a good look at all the operator sites I could think of, looks like it just happens the Tescos are probably the cheapest, and I happend to have
there sim already!
Not simple to work out, this might also be true for 3G as I guess Tescos probably use this if you don't use GPRS???
