cd.thomson - 14/12/09 at 02:35 PM

Sorry whipster, its a follow up thread from the other day.

purchases of killing in the name from the above linked album will now count towards the xmas chart.

tomprescott - 14/12/09 at 02:39 PM

Ditto

ChrisW - 14/12/09 at 03:01 PM

Bought my copy last night. Less than a quid to wipe the smile of Cowell's smug face? Bargain!

Chris

scootz - 14/12/09 at 03:03 PM

Already have the album... should I buy the single track again just to make my statement???

DONE!

blakep82 - 14/12/09 at 03:17 PM

apparently it doesn't count if the download costs less that 40p (i read somewhere) don't know if thats true though

flak monkey - 14/12/09 at 03:34 PM

Yep, dont buy from Amazon it doesnt count!

The ones to use are itunes, 7digital and play.com

David

cd.thomson - 14/12/09 at 03:35 PM

Confused but excited. - 14/12/09 at 03:48 PM

Why?
Who gives a sh!t who's at no1 at Christmas.
Oh yeh, the guys getting you to buy their record instead of Cowell's.
It would be more 'Locost' not to buy either.

Bloody typo's

As much as I love RATM (this album is in the CD player in my car right now), I have to agree. This particular track is really not Christmas material.

Badger_McLetcher - 14/12/09 at 06:11 PM

That's kinda the point isn't it?

i'm not sure you do agree what i'm saying is, i'd rather see a band who worked hard, done it all properly, and spent years getting to where they are get a christmas number 1
not some bloke who won a talent show
RATM for number 1!

coozer - 14/12/09 at 06:43 PM

Christmas No 1 should be something like Slade's Merry Christmas or Muds fine single, however Cowell has hijacked it and modern bands don't bother with cheesy xmas tunes anymore.

Even that X factor single isn't a xmas number 1 as such, just a money making scheme by popularity.

So, I've just done the decent thing and downloaded it off Play where is it listed as the most popular atm

Can't wait to see it on TOTP's xmas day

Oh yeah, the guys getting you to buy their record instead of Cowell's.

It's not about RATM. It's not about Christmas number ones. It isn't even about the puppet who wins the tallent show. Its all about Cowell Hatred and that has to be worth 59p.

roadrunner - 14/12/09 at 07:10 PM

Just purchased mine even though i have never heard it.

Dangle_kt - 14/12/09 at 07:13 PM

Love rage, but this track always reminds me of Command and Conquer..

flak monkey - 14/12/09 at 07:33 PM

coozer - 14/12/09 at 08:11 PM

Got it off Play, currently No1 in their download chart!!

Come on!

JoelP - 15/12/09 at 08:21 PM

linky no work david, reverts to facebook home.

flak monkey - 15/12/09 at 08:34 PM

Main group is down as facebook is having issues apparently

Try the back up group

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=37655682127&ref=mf

Seems a bit suspicious that the main group has died 4 times now. Yet everything else on facebook works just fine.

The biggest issue is that all the charity links point to the main page. That said on target for £35k by the end of the day

Fair enough, I'd just like a Christmas No. 1 that I could let my 4 YO daughter hear, and I could listen to in front of grand parents etc. without cringing. There's plenty of decent rock that doesn't use swear words.

Ninehigh - 19/12/09 at 09:23 AM

I'd like a christmas no.1 that had something to do with christmas!

We don't get summer tunes in december or winter tunes in july so why do we get some berk that I've never heard of from a program I refuse to watch? Or worse some miserable git whining on about how his teacher looked through him and he dreams he's dying! F**K off I'd rather have East 17 doing a collaboration with Steps, heck I'd rather have Kanye West as long as it's got something to do with christmas.

Well I think you got more than 2 cents there
