Me and missy went to see Avatar in 3D yesterday, have to say that’s one of the best films I’ve ever seen.
Story was good, special effects incredible, I can see why it cost so much to make, made Star Wars look like a shabby BBC production effort. Definitely
worth seeing in the cinema and in 3D.
I also saw it with two of my kids yesterday in Odeon 3D and it was fantastic! I'm not big on "fantasy" type films but I'm glad I
went to see this one at the cinema.
My 11 year old son even said it was twice as good as Transformers 2 which for an 11 year old boy is high praise indeed!
Don't wait for this one on DVD/Sky because it can only be done justice in 3D on the big screen.
I've been trying to find a 3D cinema local to me (middlewich, cheshire) but can't find anything listing them on t'internet... anyone know of a way to find out?
Hi Steve, you dont need to go to an IMAX or anything. Virtually all showcase/odeon/cineworld cinemas have at least some showings in 3d

It was bloomin ace in 3d.
What made it better is, I was sure it would be crap, and nothing makes a good film better; in my opinion, than low expectations.
Second that - Expectations set very low and it's actually astounding - If you had wind in your hair and a bit of smellovision then you'd be
there.
Storyline's not the best (it's not bad...) but regardless Mr C is going to make a fortune and they are not going to make films the same way
after this.
I'm going with the little one to see it again in 3D at the IMAX in Brum after seeing it in 3D at the local Cineworld and I never pay to
see a film twice...
one of 2 recent films Ive been to see and didnt fall to asleep through. the other being a Christmas Carol again in 3d good effects again. Avatar comes out on top
Not a particularly strong story-line or script, but what a spectacle!
Worth the admission fee all by itself!
