and the missus asked me if I'm feeling depressed yet. Tbh I'm no more bothered than usual and I joked that can we get a Ferrari for £50!
Now I'm wondering if I should start a mid-life chrisis and see if she'll let me stretch to getting a kit from someone. Most companies that
do seven kits allow you to pay monthly don't they?
wait till you are 40 or your first tooth extraction, whichever comes first.
Oh I had a tooth out a few years ago, what's that got to do with it?
When i turned 30 i was allready having a mid life crisis and had my indy BEC. Now im 31 i sold the indy and bought a Kart!!

When i was 30 i was still single and traveling the world with my job, already had my first Lotus 7 kit at 26 and travelled all over Europe in it.

Wouldn't swap my little'un for the world, but I am starting to itch for a car that doesn't comfortably seat four and give a decent fuel consumption. Can anyone remember the name of that kit manufacturer who did the MX5 based one?
I'm almost 60. So 30 don't sound so bad. God I wish I was 30 again! Enjoy it while you can. Happy Birthday, Russ
Oh don't get me wrong I'm not really bothered about my age, I'm the older brother and most of my friends are younger by a couple of
years, I'm just thinking of "having a mid-life chrisis" in order to have a nice little sports car
Good job swmbo doesn't look at this!
I'm almost 60 too... Wish I was 30 again, knowing what I know now.
30 is a wonderful age. You still have your Mid Life Crisis to look forward to. I've Had mine. Not much to look forward to now except
retirement.

Nearly 30!!! GET A LIFE. Oh sorry, thats what youre looking for. HE HE.
Just do what you want to do when you can cuz you dont know whats round the corner. Easy said, not easily done though.
I've recently turned 60 - so far every decade has been better than the previous so I've high hopes.
20 - 30 - got married - best thing I ever did.
30 - 40 - Got sailing - ended winning the National Champs in a Trapeze Spinnaker class. Got promoted to Town engineer.
40 - 50 - Wife & I built Cobra. Ran local Cobra group - had great fun with great group of Cobristas
50 - 60 - Retired from Council at 52 - Started building Locost then Consulting took over my life - making good money with lots of travelling to
interesting parts of SA and for first time in my life enjoying my "job"
60 - 70 - Currently modifying Cobra for track days - the rest is up to fate - but if life is as good as it always has been am looking forward to it
with interest. Whon knows what the next adventure will be!
ps - Wife happily shares all my adventures with me which greatly adds to their pleasure.
So - enjoy your thirties - make sure you start at least one new big adventure and a Locost is as good as any.

Ivan. When I reached 60 my life was only getting better as well.
You, me and Peter Pan!
Yeah I'm going to have to have a serious look into kits, and the best bit is when I do clear the garage I'll find the tin of Mingles I hid
for christmas
