China won't let North Korea step too far out of line. The only question is how far they'll let it go before stepping in.

The "talks" with the south were more of a formality rater actually achieving anything anyway, so it means little in actuallity.

One of the more worrying bits of info I heard was that kim kong pill may be losing control to the military. That would not be good.

The simple fact is that the North only has the military threat available to it.

It has no natural resources, and therefore not much of an economy with no basis to trade (and in the world at large, the ability to trade brings money and power). So, all it can do is try and bully it's way out of the mess it's in.
