big_wasa - 13/9/10 at 03:24 PM

my 10yr old is a pain in the arse at the moment. But the five year old is worse.

whitestu - 13/9/10 at 03:28 PM

Mine's 8 and has his moments! You've got me worried now! What can I expect when he's 10?

GeorgeM - 13/9/10 at 03:34 PM

motivation cars - 13/9/10 at 03:36 PM

mine is 19 and still a pain in the ass

carpmart - 13/9/10 at 03:43 PM

I ALWAYS blame the parents with badly behaved kids!

r1_pete - 13/9/10 at 04:01 PM

and when they hit teens, throw the encyclopeadias away, because they know f***ing everything, glad its all a distant memory for me.

nick205 - 13/9/10 at 04:03 PM

Anyone fancy swapping theirs for my 4 yr old (first day at school today) and 2 yr old twins...?

No, I thought not

Any one or two on their own are a doddle, but all three together are a bl00dy nightmare at the moment.

zilspeed - 13/9/10 at 04:03 PM

Said without a hint of irony, tonque in cheek, or lying.

We have one child.

She's 8.

She's a joy.

The end.

Ah, ok, I'll expand.
Yes, she does daft things and makes some strange pronunciations borne out ot being a child and not having had all of the life experiences that we've had - yet.

But what do you expect, kids are pains in the neck. I was, and so were we all.

You can work your way around these things though. It's your job.

Your maths is very good, very good indeed

big-vee-twin - 13/9/10 at 04:23 PM

Mine hit 13 and it was literally like the Kevin and Perry sketch, goes behind settee does a Jeckyl and Hide number and comes out a total Git for the next 8 years.

He's a totally different person now at 21, I actually started talking to him again after 8 years of ignoring each other!!

steve m - 13/9/10 at 04:49 PM

Oh we did laugh, ages between 3 and 10,
and you think you have problems

wait till the little monster's get to 16 AND older !!

mine are 28/34 and still give headaches
my 10 yr old Grandson is a delight to have, and my 5mth old Granddaughter is cool

Steve

Jasper, want to comment on children ???

graememk - 13/9/10 at 05:10 PM

mistergrumpy - 13/9/10 at 05:13 PM

Sexually transmitted parasites!

sdh2903 - 13/9/10 at 05:17 PM

We have 2 boys, 1 age 14 1 age 10 and a 7 year old girl.

The ten year old is the 'easiest' to deal with, in fact he's a joy and can have most adults in stiches within minutes.

However the 14 yearold is a right royal pain in the ass. Strops, sulks stompin about. I used to think that Harry enfield's "kevin" character was a massive over exageration, alas not any more!! I've seen the arms start swingin on more than one occasion!!

Ditto. We have 2 children - daughter is 11 next weekend, son was 3 about 3 weeks ago.

She's lovely...a bit dappy at times but not really any trouble whatsoever.

He is still not out of the terrible 2s yet...can be a monster at times, but beautifully behaved the rest...just full of fun and mischief...like any 3 year old...

They fight like cats and dogs at times, but they're kids - 5 minutes later they'll be playing nicely together.

Guess I must be lucky...

phelpsa - 13/9/10 at 05:45 PM

My parents made the best decision of their (and my) lives and sent me to boarding school.

I was never any trouble then... or not that they knew about

Peteff - 13/9/10 at 05:56 PM

You've got to have them, where else are you going to go when you need a kidney ?

norfolkluego - 13/9/10 at 06:03 PM

I've got three, all grown up, never any trouble until...........

Number 2 son, raised him, fed him, clothed him, paid for him through university, helped him through all those growing up problems.

Now he's all grown up and we started sprinting together, IN MY CAR!!!!!, and he goes and beats me.
Ungratefull little b*gger.

40inches - 13/9/10 at 06:55 PM

I have two girls 30 and 16, two boys 28 and 15, all I can say is:

Teenagers
Teenagers

Simon - 13/9/10 at 07:08 PM

Our oldest will be 10 in December and his kid bro was 8 at the end of last month, and I wouldn't swap either of them for anything.

If they start misbehaving, they'll find out how unpleasant a 44 year old can be - I've had a hell of a lot more practice at sulking than they have

UncleFista - 13/9/10 at 07:45 PM

I have 3 boys, 18yrs, 9yrs and 7 months so I get multi-age hassle.
I get the screaming kicking spoon feeding, with the 9yr old who never shuts up in my ears and the 18yr old eating everything that doesn't move while whinging about something or other.

The 18yr old has been more trouble over the last few years than the other two combined. I'm just waiting for my angel of a 9yr old hit the teens ;(

I love it

Canada EH! - 13/9/10 at 08:10 PM

Buy him a model car and work on it with him, he needs a challange. Started with mine as 6 yr old. He is now at 33 runs the Tamiya R/C racing program for Canada, has been around the world. He can still be a pain, but now he knows why.
