Meanwhile the French & Spanish & Greek & and and and and all continue to catch and eat undersize EU regulated fish !
The UK is the only country in the EU which plays by the many rules, regulations dribbling out of Brussels.

There's not many things I'm scared of but the big one is.....fish. Can't be doing with them. I walk on the opposite side of the aisle from them at the supermarket and I wouldn't ever touch one. Noooooo way!

I hardly eat any fish any more, I don't like the fatty farmed stuff, the wild ones are now more expensive than good quality steak, and I don't want to contribute to their demise.
I agree with the sentiments of the campaign... to kill an animal and then discard it is madness!
I'm starting to get more aware of the source of my meat / fish and try and buy as ethically as I can.
As far as I'm concerned, we have no right to be farming creatures so intensively for our consumption. Just because we've allowed our own
species' population to get insanely out of control doesn't mean we have to brutalise and decimate others.
I was out the other day and saw a cattle wagon stopped at the lights. Seen them many times before... cows (or pigs or sheep) packed into a cramped
space with their terrified stares peering out of the darkness through the ventilation slots. I knew what I was seeing was wrong - I always have when
faced with similar sights, but I previously allowed myself to 'forget'. This time it's not fading so quickly.
I recall seeing a Paul McCartney PETA ad a while back... the campaign title was, 'If Slaughterhouses Had Glass Walls, Then We'd All Be
Vegetarians'. I think he could be right! Google Video, YouTube or Liveleak for slaughterhouse footage and I suspect you will come away shaking
(if you can watch it in the first place!).
All IMHO... of course!
The biggest problem in the past has been overfishing. If there is money to be made then why not eh. BUT it went to far and cuts etc were made and new
nets were designed BUT obviously they do not work. So MY solution is that any over catches ( more than your quota) would be forfieted to the
government to sell and the money goes into the public pot for other services. This would stop over fishing as who wants to put in the work and cost
for no personal reward BUT also any caught and dead fish WOULD NOT BE WASTED
like it is now.
Simples.

How about anyone that is caught with more than the quota gets shot? I'll do it!
