Long shot.

Does anyone know how to reset the engineer code on a verities r8 alarm if the current engineer code is unknown?

Thanks

Ash

I may have found out how to do it.

I'm still interested if people do know.

Unfortunately you can't just crash the engineer code, you can however crash all the programming and start again.

Power down mains and battery, power up and press reset.

or power down mains and battery, power up and press the tamper switch 3 times.

Then program all the info back in.

I have a brand new R8 panel at home (not yet fitted.....shhhhhh, don't tell!!). I'm at work at the mo, but I'll have a look when I get home.

That's what I thought.

Which tamper spring?

The one in the key pad or the one in the alarm box?

Main box tamper.
