Greatly saddened to hear last night of the death of actress and Dr Who Icon Elisabeth Sladen at 63 from cancer, at the end of the last series of "The sarah Jane Adventures" she looked noticeably tired.

Agreed. Didn't realise she had been so ill. Very poignant, as I watched her yesterday morning, with the grandkids, in one of her "S-J Adventures", with another trouper, Jane Asher.

And, yes, those grandkids will definitely miss her.

Oh NO! Another childhood icon gone. I always got the feeling she was a genuinely nice person too! I'm gonna miss her let alone my daughter!

Never heard of her, I'm afraid (though I have heard of the Sarah Jane Adventures). Still, sad to die at a relatively young age like that.
