Bl@@dy Ebay, well actually 'there's nowt so queer as folk buying on ebay'

Had a clearout of old Xbox games that the kids dont use anymore and sold loads on ebay about 3 weeks ago.

Then I get a rather Irate email form one of the buyers, banging on about the game hasnt arrived, wants full refund etc - However, I had paid recorded delievery (which they didnt know) and saw that the package could not be delivered and was back at their local post office. - Told all of this to him and he finally got the message.

This was Monday this week, but I have just had the game returned to me. Seems that the postoffice held it until Wednesday and then sent it back as "not called for".

So where does this leave me? I have told him it has been returned to me and I guess will get a email back from him soon.

Do I resend it to him, if he pays a redelivery charge? Do Nothing ? Refund him less the original postage charge and Ebay fees ?

They actually gave me positive feedback the day I posted it to them, which is weird in itself. Although they are a zero rated ebayer (well 1 now as I immediately +ve them)

Personally I have been trading on eBay for 11 years now, and some people are just too stupid to own electronic devices :-)

I would offer postage again to him, based on him paying the extra postal cost, or he can collect from you.

You have done everything correct especially posting via Recorded.

Some people you just can't help enough :-)

Yep, it amazes me that some people are clever enough to buy a PC, get on the internet, register with Ebay and Paypal, but are then so retarded that they don't understand the basics of life.

Personally I would refund in full, cancel the transaction and add them to your blocked bidder list. Relist your item and hope someone with 3 brain cells buys it next time.

Sadly as I get older I wonder at how some people have survived to get to adult age. Some people are simply unintelligent and 'thick'. How they have not killed themselves in some accident I'll never know.

I only have one issue with this - your title slates ebay itself, but (for once) they have done their bit, haven't they? Perhaps 'there's nowt so queer as folk buying on ebay' might have been more appropriate?

+1, this is no fault of ebay, its the guy who bought it really

Haven't we had someone on here moaning about something he'd bought not arriving. It was probably at the post office and but he said no way was he going to go and check... He'd paid for delivery!

Iirc the Post Office keep hold of it for two weeks, so this guy had hold of a slip saying that it's at his local post office for a fortnight... Personally (because I couldn't give a sh..) I'd refund him minus the postage and fees..

karlak - 3/6/11 at 05:51 PM

He has just replied and asked me to send it back to him - No mention of paying me the re-delivery cost though.. LOL

Send it with only a 2nd class stamp on so he gets charged for insufficient postage

Ebay haven't actually done anything though have they - well, other than existing. You just wait till the buyer raises a dispute - then Ebay will refund him!

I hope that doesn't actually happen, karlak!
