Is there an IR extender that reliably works the Virgin V+Box?

As above really, I'm looking for an IR extender that works with the V+ box, as it's my understanding that not all do? Any recommendations will be much appreciated.

I've found Virgin's remotes barely work with the V+ box, I'm regularly having to press delete over 20 times...
