God this pees me off!

Haven't uploaded anything to You Tube for a while, but wanted to stick a short vid on there tonight. Sign in only to be told "oh no good sir you can't use your account unless you're signed up with a Google account...follow me right this way"

Eh? A google account is just like signing up for Yahoo/hotmail/ whatever. No intimate examinations or rectal probes necessary! What's the big deal? It's free and I don't even think they ask for any specific details other than DOB and name.

It's still annoying. Google have ruined youtube.

If I understand it right you actually have to replace your old youtube acount with a google acount which if you only use it for youtube will be exactly the same.

+1 but after some fannying about, i got in with my old sign in. i did have two on there, but now i can only get into one. pile of sh!te

Had the same problem, only I have a google account, that it won't let me get to...
