I've just received a new UK registration certificate for my van. It's very colourful and has lots of bits on the back explaining what to do when you get rid of the vehicle and telling you it's your responsibility to keep the records up to date. The continuous registration thing where you will still have to tax it while it remains in your name should clear a few out of the system
