A perfect winters day - or maybe not
Ivan - 10/7/11 at 08:57 AM

20 degrees C, not a cloud in the sky, no wind, about a thousand porpoises playing in the bay just offshore from our house, a large paddle of kayaks, one yacht moored close in fishing.

Me sitting with my back to it all working on the computer, data capturing and analysing since 05:00 this morning and likely to continue till 21:30 - why oh why do I choose to work from home when retired oh yes - for the money

Oh well - soon be lunch time, and a nice sarmy, glass of red wine followed by a half hour power nap on the couch.

surely 'retired' and 'working for money' are two mutually excusive terms?!

Sounds a pleasant place to work though. Im sweating cobs sat beside a swimming pool - in Leeds

I guess "retired" is more a state of mind than fact.

You get a score of 1 out of 100 on the Guinness sympathyometer.

Last time we flew into Cape Town in "mid winter", the pilot announced it was a cool 28C and advised everyone to put on a jumper!!

That's why we live here - Simon's Town is as close as you can get to paradise on earth.
